Sharon Marie Brunetti, 1943-2024

Sharon Marie Brunetti was born in 1943 in Oakland, California to Charles and Mary (Bea) Hamm. She grew up in Oakland and attended Holy Names High School where she focused on music, becoming a fine pianist and violinist. She taught herself guitar and ukulele, and loved to sing.

Sharon was a lifelong Catholic. After high school she attended UC Berkeley, eventually transferring to UCSF’s nursing program. While at Cal, she met her husband, Warren Brunetti. They eventually had three sons. She became a public health nurse, but eventually found her true calling as an elementary school teacher in Alameda.

She loved teaching, camping, singing with friends and family, attending church, laughing, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her brother Charles Hamm, her sons, Michael, Kevin, and Nicholas and their spouses, and her grandchildren, Hannah, Rory, Michael Sean, Taylor, and Dylan.
