For the 2025 Grant Awards, the Alameda Kiwanis Club Grants Committee emphasized work to combat violence and racism, and to promote equity and equality.

Funds for the awards were raised at the club’s annual Chili Cookoff fundraiser on February 1, at the Albert DeWitt Officers Club on Alameda Point. The cookoff is the Alameda Kiwanis Foundation’s major fundraiser for the year, with all proceeds going to local nonprofits. This year’s cookoff raised $20,000 for community grants.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world, one child and one community at a time.
