Rotary Club of Alameda Awards $24,000 to Local Nonprofits

Twenty Alameda nonprofit organizations received grants totaling $24,000 from the Rotary Club of Alameda [1] at the Rotary meeting on Tuesday, December 9. These grants come from generous donations made by Rotarians to their favorite Alameda charities and are matched by the Alameda Rotary Endowment Foundation.

Congratulations to the following 2025 recipients of the Rotary Matching Grants program, all of which do critical work for our community:

At the Rotary awards meeting, these nonprofits shared their mission and the projects for which they plan to use the grant money. Some examples include Trinity Lutheran Church Dine & Connect Program, First Presbyterian Church of Alameda Immigrant Relief Fund, Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda tree planting in a local park, Alameda Education Foundation teacher mini-grants, Rhythmix Cultural Works Performing Arts learning for kids program, Midway Shelter kits for clients moving into a new home, and the Feather House Foundation household items for foster kids moving into their first own home after aging out of the foster care system.

The Rotary Club of Alameda also has a Community Grants program. Applications for that program will begin in March 2027. Visit the Rotary Club of Alameda [3] website for more information about the club, its impact in the community and the world, and the benefits of becoming a member.
