Jude is a Bouncy Rock Star with a Happy Heart

Pet of the Week for November 15, 2025

There’s a reason everyone at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter calls Jude a rock star. This tall, dark, and handsome 3 year old lives life with a happy bounce and an eager heart. Whether it’s a jog through the park, a hike in the hills, or a cozy movie night at home, Jude is ready to be your sidekick.

Smart, affectionate, and always up for an adventure, Jude loves learning new things—especially when treats and praise are involved. He’s attentive on walks, though other dogs tend to catch his eye and he can end up walking extra fast. A confident, experienced handler can easily help him channel that enthusiasm into focus.

At his core, Jude is a sweet and loyal companion who thrives on connection and activity. He’s perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and is looking for a devoted friend to share the rhythm of everyday life.

If you’d like to meet Jude and see if he’s the one to keep the beat with you, visit Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) at 1590 Fortmann Way, during open hours—Wednesday and Thursday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that nap time for the animals is 1 to 2 p.m. and the last meet time is one hour before closing. FAAS will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28.
