SPECIAL REPORT: Christmas at FAAS

As part of being the roving reporter, it’s my job to cover the important stories in our community regardless of when or where they happen. As a FAAS alum who spent Christmas Day in the shelter, it was important to me to be sure that those furry friends had a special day filled with treats and toys.

My human companion (HC) put this video together so I could show you some of the festivities that took place on that special day and to draw some awareness to those canines and other animals that are looking for a forever home.

FAAS has a special program where you can foster a dog and see just how much joy they can bring to your life. Walking a dog is a great way to get out on the streets and see the beauty of Alameda and improve your health. Sometimes my HC refers to me as his gym membership…  with motivation.

I hope you will visit the shelter located at 1590 Fortmann Way this week and consider taking one of my friends home. You can see all the available animals by going to the FAAS website.

If you do decide to adopt any of the dogs that weigh over 30 pounds before January 1, 2026, Bear’s-Eye View of Alameda will cover all the cost of the adoption. Just say, “Mouf sent me.”

I also want to take this opportunity to thank all the staff at FAAS for the incredible job they do at making their guests’ lives as pleasant as possible during their stay. THANK YOU!

I hope everyone has a great holiday and be sure to catch my regular Sunday report covering the remainder of Alameda’s wonderful holiday decorations.

HAPPY HOLIDAZE!
