James Gary Stutler, 1946-2025

James Gary Stutler, 79, passed away peacefully in Spokane, Washington, on April 25, 2025. Jim is survived by his loving wife Carol and their son James Oliver, as well as his daughter Shelby Boismier, his grandchildren Olivia and TJ Boismier, and his brother Jon Stutler and sister-in-law Jana Stutler.

Jim was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on February 16, 1946, to WWII veteran pilot Major James Otis Stutler, USAF, and Ruth Jerrine Stutler. A beloved husband and father, Jim raised his family in Alameda, where he served as a cherished Scoutmaster for the members of Boy Scout Troop 6, Alameda Council, BSA. In 2014 Jim moved with his family to Spokane, Washington, and is buried in Fairmount Memorial Park.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents James and Ruth as well as his sisters Carol Sue Evans and Carolyn Sherwood. He is survived by his nephews Chuck Wagner (and wife Karen), Scott Stutler (and wife Gina), Ryan Stutler (and wife Lauren), and Michael Evans (and wife Jennifer), along with his niece Jenifer Patridge (and husband Nolan), his grand-nephews Todd and Brad Wagner (and wives Yolanda and Melissa), and many great-grand-nephews and nieces.

Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all those touched by his life.
